FAQ

Questions

The stuff people actually ask before they book. If yours isn't here, text me — 619-713-9890.

Before you book

Is this worth it, or should I just do it myself?

If you're already out there every couple of days, honestly, you don't need me. Most people aren't. The yard slowly turns into a place you don't walk barefoot, the kids stop playing back there, and eventually it's a two-hour job nobody wants to start. For $21 a visit it just stays done and you stop thinking about it.

How much does dog waste removal cost?

Weekly service for one dog is $21 per visit, or $90 a month. Every-other-week starts at $65 a month, and twice-weekly starts at $160. One-time cleanups start at $100. Extra dogs and large lots are quoted before I start, so you always know the number up front.

How often should I have my yard done?

Weekly is right for most people with one or two dogs — it never gets bad enough to notice. Every other week works for a small yard or a small dog, but you'll see it building by day ten. Two or more dogs, or anyone who actually uses their yard, should be on twice weekly.

What areas do you serve?

Scripps Ranch (92131), Poway (92064), Rancho Bernardo (92127 and 92128), Rancho Peñasquitos (92129), Sabre Springs, 4S Ranch, and Mira Mesa. Right on the edge of one of those? Text me at 619-713-9890 and I'll tell you straight whether I can reach you.

How it works

Do I need to be home?

No — most of my customers aren't. I text before I arrive, scoop the whole yard, and send you a photo of your latched gate before I leave. All I need is gate access.

How do you find all of it?

I walk the yard in a grid, not a loop — every corner, along the fence line, under bushes, behind the shed. Tall grass and heavy ground cover take longer, which is why I look at those before I quote. If I ever miss something, tell me and I'll come back.

What if I forget to unlock the gate?

I'll text you right away and come back. I don't charge for a visit I couldn't complete. If it happens more than once, give me the code or a spare and I'll never have to bother you about it again.

What if my dog is outside when you come?

Not a problem — just let me know ahead of time so I'm expecting them. If your dog isn't comfortable with strangers, put them inside on your service day. I text before I arrive, so you'll know exactly when.

What happens if it rains?

I still come. Rain doesn't stop the route. If it's genuinely unsafe or the yard is flooded, I'll text you and move you to the next day.

What if we go on vacation?

Depends on whether the dogs go with you. If they're boarded or coming along, text me and I'll pause you — no charge while you're out, no fee to start back up. If they're staying home with a sitter, keep me on. That's when it matters most: house sitters almost never scoop, and you don't want to come home to two weeks of it.

The stuff people worry about

Is the service guaranteed?

Yes. If I miss something, send me a photo and I'll be back within 24 hours to fix it, free. I'd rather drive back once than have you staring at something I missed all week.

Do you clean your equipment between yards?

Every time. My equipment is sanitized after every visit, so nothing travels from one dog — or one yard — to the next. Parvo and giardia move between yards on dirty tools, and that's not a risk I'm willing to pass to your dog.

Does dog poop attract rats?

Yes. Dog waste is high in fat and protein, and pest control companies list it as one of the main things pulling rodents into residential yards. Worse, the smell lingers in the soil after the waste is gone, so rats keep coming back to a spot that used to have food. Regular pickup is one of the cheapest rodent deterrents there is.

What if I haven't cleaned my yard in months?

That's normal and it's fixable. Heavy buildup takes a lot longer than a standard visit, so I'll look at it and quote a one-time cleanup before I start — usually from $100. Once it's caught up, regular service keeps it that way.

What do you do with the waste?

Everything gets double-bagged and goes straight into your bin. If your bin is already full, I haul it out with me. You never end up with a bin you can't close.
