Meet Max

Poppy isn't a franchise or a call center. It's one local kid who decided this ordinary job was worth doing properly.

The person in your yard

I'm Max. I'm 17. I do every yard myself.

I grew up here, off Spring Canyon in Scripps Ranch. Poppy started with a simple thing I noticed: the companies that cover the whole county send a different stranger every week, and half the time you can't tell if anyone came at all.

I wanted to do the opposite. When your gate opens, it's me — the same person, every visit. I'll text you before I show up, clean the whole yard, send you a photo of your latched gate, and disinfect my gear before I go to the next house.

Everyone else jokes about this job because it makes them uncomfortable. It doesn't make me uncomfortable. It's honest work, and I take it seriously.

The name is deliberate. A poppy is the California state flower — bright, small, growing wild in fields all over this county. It's what a backyard feels like when it's yours again: a place you actually want to be, instead of a place you avoid.

Why trust a 17-year-old?

Because you'll know exactly who I am, you'll have my number, and you'll get a photo every single visit. There's nowhere for me to hide and no crew to blame. That's not a weakness — it's the entire point.

Your first cleanup is free on a standard yard — larger properties get an initial cleanup quoted up front. Either way, meet me, watch the work, and decide from there.
